Seinfeld was created by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld and entertained NBC fans from 1989 to May 14, 1998. Liz Sheridan acted the role of a totally over-protective mom to Jerry in the series. Unfortunately, she passed away on the weekend, at the age of 93. Beloved by many people, they sent in their reactions to the passing of yet another face they were familiar with on TV.

Joan Copeland passed away as well, as did many others.

The bad news about Liz Sheridan from Seinfeld is that she really did die, unlike Queen Elizabeth. For a while, rumors ran around that she passed away and the Palace kept it a secret. The rumors came after she took a break from public appearances. But for people like Michael Lang, Dwayne Hickman, Ralph Emery, and Robert Durst, it really was the end of their roads traveled on Planet Earth.

On Friday, April 15, Jerry Seindfeld posted up a lovely throwback photo of Liz. In his caption, he wrote, “Liz was always the sweetest, nicest TV mom a son could wish for. Every time she came on our show it was the coziest feeling for me. So lucky to have known her.”

Reportedly, Liz died just a few days after she celebrated her 93rd birthday. Ruled as a death from natural causes, at least she seems to have passed away peacefully in her sleep. These days, with so many people dying, it seems like a blessing to have a painless death.

Seinfeld fans reacted in the comments with a lot of sorrow. Although Liz was quite old, any celeb who passes away unexpectedly seems like a blow. Universally loved, one fan asked, “How could anyone not like her?”
