CBS recently revealed the 14 new teams set to embark on an adventure of a lifetime, and CTS has a sneak peek at the duos chosen for the upcoming season.

What Fans Can Expect From This New Season

Amazing Race viewers need to gear up for the unexpected, as Season 37 is being dubbed the ‘Season of Surprises’.

From the sounds of it, there will be a twist in every show, including old favorites like U-Turn and Fast Forward, as well as some new ones that the reality TV series has come up with.

As fans know, each pair races for the opportunity to be the “last” twosome standing to score a top prize of $1 million. The season’s episodes will each last 90 minutes long.

Meet The Cast Of Amazing Race, Season 37 – Family Teams

This season has a nice mix of couples, friends, and family members.

Starting off with the families, father and son team, Jeff “Pops” and Jeff Bailey are 65 years of age, and 36. Both are lumberjacks that hail from St. Louis. Meanwhile, brothers Nick (32) and Mike Fiorito (28) are both podcasters and entrepreneurs, from Brooklyn, NY.

Sisters, Jackye Clayton and Lauren McKinney, aged 51 and 61 respectively, are from Waco, Texas. Jackye is a talent acquisition architect, while Lauren is a corporate event strategist.

Siblings Han (26) and Holden Nguyen (22) are from Los Gatos, Calif., with Han a former energy consultant, and Holden a Stanford student. Then there’s Ernest and Bridget Cato, aged 59 and 28.

This father-daughter team hails from Chicago and Sommerville, Mass, with dad being a retired chief of the Chicago Police Department and his daughter an account supervisor.

Lastly, Melinda and Erika Papadeas, aged 66 and 32, are a mother-daughter duo from Chandler, Ariz., and Englewood, Colo. Melinda works in administration and Erika is a client engagement specialist.

New Cast – Friends Team Up

There are a ton of friends who have teamed up to throw their hats into the ring for this year’s Amazing Race. Mark Crawford and Larry Graham – aged 63 and 59 – are best friends from Watertown, Tenn., and Bartlett, Tenn, and retired firefighters.

Meanwhile, Carson McCalley and Jack Dodge, aged 28 and 27 are also two besties from Brooklyn, NY who both happen to be game streamers. Lastly, Bernie Gutierrez and Carrigain Scadden, a personal trainer (31) and spa educator (33) are two friends hailing from Dallas and Denver.

The Couples

There are also quite a few couples in the mix for Amazing Race’s Season 37. Scott and Lori Thompson, aged 47 and 49, are married with eight sons. The two live in Salt Lake City with Scott being a physician assistant and Lori a stay-at-home mom.

Meanwhile, Jonathan (42) and Ana Towns (35) are married parents living in Pomona, Calif. He’s a software developer and she’s a stay-at-home mom, too!

Brett Hamby (36) and Mark Romain (37) are married Vegas performers, living in Las Vegas, while Alyssa (31) and Josiah Borden (32) are married nurse anesthetists living in Philadelphia! Lastly, Courtney Ramsey (33) and Jasmin Carey (34) are both nurses, dating, living in Leland, NC.
