TLC “90 Day Fiancé-Happily Ever After” fans were surprised to learn that Andrei Castravet used to be a police detective in Moldova, prior to moving to Ireland where he became a bouncer!
TLC 90 Day Finance’ Spoilers – Andrei Castravet Seems To Be Just A Bit Secretive At Times
As viewers know, Andrei tends to be just a bit secretive at times, and it’s possible that his newly revealed past police detective training could have something to do with it – after all, if police detectives had loose lips they could sink some pretty important crime case ships! His wife, Elizabeth Potthast Castravet knew about his past police work, but his revelation made his father and brother in law even more suspicious of him than they already were!
Other than his past employment as a police detective in Moldova and a bouncer – a form of security work – in Ireland, he has had a difficult time finding employment since moving to the United States and has no employment plans right now other than being a househusband and caring for their baby girl Eleanor, since Elizabeth makes enough money to be the breadwinner.
At once time he worked for his father-in-law, Chuck, and had planned to go to truck driving school but that apparently didn’t work out. “Libby” as her family calls her and Andrei have had their disagreements and communication problems this season, as viewers well know, especially upon arriving in Moldova.
But communication, and especially trust, is even more difficult between Andrei and his in-laws, and viewers will see it is particularly difficult between his father-in-law Chuck and his brother-in-law Charlie in Sunday’s episode.
TLC 90 Day Finance’ Spoilers – Chuck Potthast And Charlie Are Suspicious Of Andrei Casttavet’s Reasons For Quitting The Police Force
Upon arriving in Moldova, where Elizabeth and Andrei met them at the airport, Chuck and Charlie piled into the vehicle with Elizabeth and Andrei, who was driving them first to Andrei’s parents’ home, where a meal had been prepared for them upon their arrival.
On the way, some rather tense conversation took place when Chuck and Charlie asked all kinds of questions from whether there were Walmarts to salad in Moldova, and then Chuck started the interrogation wanting to know more about Andrei’s past, including his work. One could tell that Andrei became more careful about the questions about his past and his work than he was about the questions about stores and food!
When he revealed that he had been a police detective but had left to take a job as a bouncer at a nightclub in Ireland that his brother told him about, which is what Elizabeth already knew, Chuck, in particular, became suspicious – why would Andrei leave what Chuck perceived as a high paying career job in Moldova to become what he perceived as a low-pay job as a bouncer in Ireland?

But Chuck is coming from an American frame of reference – and even when Elizabeth was picking venues for their wedding one could tell Chuck and the rest of her family had never been to the poorer side of town even in America! Moldova is a poorer country and indeed the money for a bouncer at a nightclub in Ireland may have been more lucrative! Andrei also said that in Moldova, the police did not treat people well and the working environment may have been too toxic for his tastes.
Chuck automatically went to the worst-case scenario and thought Andrei may have gotten into trouble – probably of a criminal nature, for him to leave his job, family, and friends in Moldova and flee to a foreign country, Ireland, to take a job! Andrei did acknowledge he had some trouble but didn’t specify of what type!

It appears that a lot if these relationships would be healthier if the families kept their noses out of the relationships, Libby and Andrei, Kalani and Alue, Colt and the flavor of the month, etc. Not easy to do but necessary.
Andrei needs to learn “you catch more bees with honey” this dope has set himself up for lot NO job NO effort to find a job and now a criminal back round?
Andrei makes himself easy to hate.
Wait to see how Andrei reacts when Chuck TELLS him “NO I pay all wedding related costs directly myself NOT you”

if the family is financially supporting these couples..they have a right to be worried..asualou is also DEAd weight..can’t support his kids..pay rent..nothing…colt will never have a mate that debbie likes..NEVER!!
andrei is a freeloading loser with a CAPITAL L! what could libby possibly see in this jackass??? the accent alone would put most people over the edge, not to mention his self important attitude for someone who contributes NOTHING but trouble and discontent…he must have a very shady past and i hope it is revealed..and libby can dump him and leave him there in moldolva to fend for himself…
