TLC 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After season 5 stars Michael Ilesanmi and Angela Deem. The two have a lot of differences, including age and culture. When Angela learns she needs to cook for his family because they’re coming over to talk about the wedding plans, she completely flips out. She won’t “do the Nigerian woman thing” and tells Michael to stick the green card up his butt.

In a sneak peek of the TLC reality show, Angela is in Nigeria with Michael. He invites his family over for dinner so they can discuss the wedding plans. He tells his fiancee that they need to go to the store and pick up some items so they can cook dinner. Seems pretty logical. It’s always polite to cook dinner and feed your relatives (or anyone) when they come over.

However, Angela does not see it this way. The issue doesn’t really seem to be cooking for her future in-laws. Maybe I missed it, but I don’t’ recall seeing Micahel ask if she wanted to cook. It came off as an expectation or order. That seems to be the real reason why Angela was set off.

Angela Deem Won’t ‘Do Nigerian Woman Thing’

The sneak peeks for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After has Angela raging at Michael over the cooking expectation. She tells him that she will not “do the Nigerian woman thing.” She is furious and Angela’s temper gets the best of her. She rages and bounces and screams in the car.

She then tells him she is not Nigerian and to not try and make her into a Nigerian woman. She informs Michael that’s just not the way things are going to be. To this, Michael responds for her to just act like a Nigerian woman while she’s in Nigeria. He claims that she won’t have to follow Nigerian traditions forever. But how many people have we heard say that? This needs to be resolved before they get married.

Angela continues to unleash her fury on Michael and lecture him about how things will be when they come to her home in Amerca. All of the cleaning and cooking does not fall on one woman. She tells Michael that they are going to help with the cooking. Then, she suggests that since Michael wants them to eat, that he cooks something himself.

Cooking Rage Just An Excuse To Break Up?

These two have been fighting a lot lately. They have cultural differences, a huge age difference, there is the issue of whether they will be able to have kids. There is also the fact that they live in two different countries, which makes their romance very expensive. Then, they have to deal with getting approval to legally live in the other’s country. Angela recently also went through a health scare and her daughter refuses to support the relationship.
