‘Vikings’ Final Season Sneak Peek Has Fans on Edge

The Vikings Season 6 trailer has finally dropped, and fans are losing their minds. They’re wondering who’s going to return and who’s going to die in the final season. Fans have already been coming up with theories as to what’s going to happen. Vikings Season 6 features Ivar (Alex Hogh Andersen) running from Kattegat to Russia, which means the show will have a new cast of characters.

If the rumors are true, the show could also bring back some familiar faces. According to a report via Newsweek, Alicia Agneson could return as a new character after her character Freydis’ death. Since her character was strangled by Ivar in Season 5 of Vikings, the actress could make her big return as a new character. But there’s little details as to who that character will be. She did confirm that she will return as a Russian princess. Agneson shared shots of her wearing a costume from that time period on social media.

The Vikings Season 6 trailer also confirmed the return of Floki, according to a report via Metro. The character is said to appear in a one-hour special. This news comes after Gustaf Skarsgård revealed that he won’t be returning to his role. However, Vikings producers haven’t gotten enough of the character. According to the Vikings official account on Instagram, there will be a one-hour special dedicated to the character during the first two episodes of the sixth and final season.

The episode will feature scenes from the beloved character from various episodes throughout the show’s reign. A short clip revealed that Ivar The Boneless will talk about Floki’s tales. The 60-minute episode is said to be titled “Vikings: The Saga of Floki,” and fans can’t wait to see it. Viewers flocked to the Instagram account to exclaim that they can’t wait to see the 39-year-old actor return to his role despite Gustaf saying he won’t be back for the final season.

The last time that fans got to see Floki was in episode 19 of Season 5, titled “What Happened in the Cave.” However, there is one character who won’t be returning and that’s Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel). The character died in Season 4 of Vikings. Since his death, fans have wondered if his character would return for the final season. However, according to Metro, this will not happen. During that interview, newcomer Andrei Claude revealed that he would love Fimmel to return to the series, but he doesn’t believe he’ll be coming back.
