However, meeting Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) changed Ashland’s life, for however long that may last. Her business savvy led to the merger with Newman Enterprises. Victoria’s love gave Ashland the desire to pursue potentially life-extending treatments.

Y&R Spoilers – Dire Diagnosis Can Evolve

Assuming that Ashland is telling the truth about his diagnosis, the treatments he’s begun receiving could change his life. That means he could gain a handful of months or more if all goes well.

Ideally, Ashland’s cancer will be stymied, with some form of reversal or remission happening. This seems implausible, as the outlook Burgi’s character projects is clear-eyed.

However, being that this is daytime, fans know that Ashland could die sometime this fall before the Vashland wedding happens. Alternatively, that outcome could be pushed into winter or even next year.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Best Resolution Is Hoped For

Burgi has been a fine addition to the cast. It’s great to see Victoria paired with someone other than Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as well. The fresh plot paths that she can walk on are intriguing and exponential.

With the Vashland wedding planned for Tuscany, Italy, Victoria believes the grand event will be realized. But have TPTB offered a delayed nuptial ceremony that will never happen?

Here’s hoping that Ashland’s treatments yield noticeable progress that at least allow the wedding to take place. More than that, having Burgi remain a part of this great ensemble is the preferred result that fans of good soap would benefit in seeing.
