The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Doesn’t Trust Anyone

It’s very believable that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) doesn’t trust anyone, right now he’s setting some of his family up to believe that he’s suffering from pre-senile dementia.

Victor’s even faked his death several times in the past, and the most recent was to teach Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) a well-deserved lesson.

The whole family was in on that one except his granddaughter Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and some of the younger ones, and Summer really was mad!

It’s not all that far-fetched to think that Victor would place a spy in his company who seems like an excited and innocent young woman. Claire Grace fits the bill exactly as Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) assistant.

Claire’s sweet and innocent but nosy routine could be taken as an eager learner of a dream job, but it might be a way to get others to trust her. That way maybe they will spill secrets too, secrets that she can pass on to Victor.

Victor may be acting a bit paranoid now, convinced someone’s out to betray him, but that can be a symptom of the dementia he’s faking.

Victor did admit to Nikki that he planned to keep an eye on Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Adam, as well as Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).

Victor remembers all too well how Nate betrayed his family and friends over at Chancellor-Winters, but he does trust Nikki. Perhaps he will confess to her that her new assistant is the way he’s keeping an eye on the others.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Undercover Boss’s Spy

Claire is the perfect undercover boss’s spy and if Victor decides to let Nikki in on the deal, she’ll be sure to place Claire where she’s needed the most.

She’s already in close proximity to Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) who Nikki trusts about as much as a snake, especially when it comes to their granddaughter’s husband!

Who knows what things Claire might find out if she gets some of the other Newman employees to confide in her, or what she might overhear?

Victor’s having Claire as his secret spy combined with his plot to make everyone but Nikki think he’s got pre-senile dementia will ensure his plot’s success.

No one will suspect that Victor had enough going mentally to think up such a plot, and he’ll find out who’s loyal, and who’s not!
