However, the introduction of Jesse Gains (Jamison Jones) supercharges developments. An apparent blackmail demand for three million dollars alters the trajectory of Ashland’s considerations and potentially his intended marriage plans as well.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Parent Trap Presented?

Ashland told a tale that Billy feels was intended to push Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) buttons. Both halves of Niktor experienced their own childhood traumas, with Ashland’s story about his father seeming all too familiar.

Stating that his abusive father was enabled by his weak mother felt like a play for sympathy. But Victor and Nikki’s follow-up conversation produced agreement, as they shared an understanding of why it was hard for Ashland to share his history.

It could be that Ashland told the truth. But that would not be good soap.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman Looking Ahead

Victoria does not want Ashland dwelling on the past. She also knows that the stress of discussing the details of his childhood causes him to become extremely agitated and negatively impacts his physical state.

So much happened with Billy through the years. In contrast, Victoria views Ashland as more like her father. He appears to be an impressive, self-made man.

However, Victoria often turned a blind eye to Victor’s flaws and was bitten for doing so. She may be following that same path if Ashland’s backstory is far more than he claims.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Who Is Ashland Locke?

Admitting that his name was created, as was his verbal family resume, seemed to represent a breakthrough. But it could be that Ashland is furthering his ruse with more cover stories.

Billy is directly stating that Ashland is lying by withholding his true identity along with that of his parents. The confrontation at ChanceCom was intended to settle the matter, but that can not possibly prove true.

Jones’ debut on the show represents the next stage of Ashland’s cascading reveal. How or whether Burgi’s character can manage what is coming is yet to be seen on Y&R.
