NCIS spoilers and updates tease that fans are wondering if Brian Dietzen is leaving NCIS for good. Rumors of his departure started to circulate when his character, Jimmy Palmer, struggled to cope with the death of his wife, Breena Palmer (Michelle Pierce).
Jimmy is one of the show’s fan-favorites. Dubbed as the autopsy gremlin, the team’s chief medical examiner is of those characters who make the show’s heavy and dramatic storylines a bit lighter. But just like any other character, he’s also been through tough times.
Fans have seen him mourn the loss of his wife, Breena, during a time jump that happened in NCIS season 18. Her passing left Palmer a single father to Victoria Elizabeth Palmer, his daughter with Breena.
Breena’s death took a toll on Palmer’s physical health as he continued to be in denial over the demise of his wife. He eventually had a serious conversation with Gibbs (Mark Harmon) about grieving her death and starting to let go. Because of this, fans started to wonder if Palmer will soon leave the show.
NCIS Spoilers – Jimmy Palmer Isn’t Going Anywhere, At Least For Now
For now, it seems like Jimmy Palmer isn’t going anywhere. There have been no indications that he’ll be leaving the show anytime soon. In one of the most recent episodes, Palmer came out unharmed after the major role he played in season 19 episode 8 titled “peacekeeper.”
Fans have been growing more concerned over cast members leaving especially after Mark Harmon said goodbye to the show in October. But for now, fans don’t have to worry about Dietzen’s status on the show.
