In “NCIS Los Angeles,” fans know that Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) is still nowhere to be found and while she’s away, Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith) is heading the team, at least for now. She’s struggling with her new responsibilities and thinks she can’t fill in Hetty’s shoes. She’s even unsure if she can handle the role once she’s asked to take on the job for good.

In a heartbreaking confession, Nell told Callen “I just wish I know what she saw in me. Or, if I was her only option.” How long will her insecurities continue? Will she finally realize that she has what it takes?

“NCIS: Los Angeles” is currently on its twelfth season and is nearing its finale. Nell may decide to step down and ask someone else to take the job. Some fans believe that Callen is a more appropriate choice. However, he’s been busy looking for Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly) and if he fills Hetty’s shoes, his attention will be divided between being the head of the team and looking for his missing girlfriend.
