What Could ‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Episode 9 Tell us About the Finale?
In episode 9 we witness Beth and John at odds after John endangers himself looking into the shooting death of his friend Sherriff Donnie Haskell. “You look for justice everywhere, except in the mirror,” Beth complains. Of course, Beth also asks Rip why he didn’t stop John to which he responds, “Beth, I can’t stop your father from doing anything,” adding, “I can either help him or I can watch him.”
We also see Carter (Finn Little) learning to ride under the abrasive tutelage of John Dutton.

The episode ends with Kayce taking a trip with Mo and Rainwater, where Kayce performs a sacred ritual in the hopes of learning why this mysterious wolf has been following him.
Cole Hauser teased a little in March about how Season 4 will wrap saying, “The way we ended season four—I can’t give too much away, but the way season four ends, I think the audience… will be happily surprised.” We can’t say for sure what the surprise will be but we’re certainly hoping it will have something to do with a teaser for Season 5.
