Ami Brown From Alaskan Bush People Home After Hospitalization

Ami Brown, the matriarch of Alaskan Bush People was reported to have been hospitalized nearly two weeks ago. Updates from her daughter, Bird Brown arrived, and now, more news came via her son, Bear Brown. She’s been released from the hospital, but is she okay? Read on to find out more details.

The Initial Report 

Bird told her followers on Instagram that her mom struggled with breathing problems. After visiting a local hospital, the Discovery star ended up evacuating to a much bigger hospital. Diagnosed with pneumonia, naturally, ABP fans felt concerned for the reality TV star who is in her early 60s. 

A further update arrived from the same source three days later, and Ami Brown was reported to be on the mend. “She is doing so much better,” Bird said, adding the good news that the Discovery star was taken off “the ventilator,” and was “awake…eating, drinking, [and] talking.”

Bear’s Update On February 26

On February 26, Bear Brown posted a video on his Instagram, and it showed Ami Brown at home. Bear Brown said that everyone felt happy. However, the other news in the real revealed that the older woman still needs “rest,” and Noah Brown “set up her oxygen.” 

The Alaskan Bush People star looked pale, which is understandable after “11 days” of sitting down. Ami said she was “okay,” before showing off the bandages from her “IV.” Meanwhile, she can enjoy some time “with the grandbabies,” Bear said, adding the proviso, “from a distance.”

The cancer survivor still has a lot of fans, even though Discovery last aired a new season of Alaskan Bush People in 2022. So, plenty of ABP fans reacted in the comments section. Here are some of those reactions:

The comment about Ami Brown taking it easy and not walking too much could refer to her previous bout of pneumonia. Last year, she arrived home safely, but then took a walk outside in the cold and snow, per TV Shows Ace–April 2024.
