General Hospital spoilers tease that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) will defend his girlfriend, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) from some serious danger as shots ring out at the waterfront in an upcoming episode of GH!

General Hospital Spoilers – Michael Corinthos Tries To Protect Sasha Gilmore From His Father’s Enemies

The new GH promo for this week, “Turf Wars” shows Michael actually trying to get Sasha to go along with breaking up with him – at least for the time being – in order to protect her from his father’s enemies.

A turf war is brewing in Port Charles, as down at the pier, near Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) warehouse, Michael and Sasha are with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) when Joss spots a gunman, and Michael pushes Sasha down on the ground, but unfortunately, Laura is hit and falls unconscious on some coffee bags!

Michael is serious when he tells Sasha that Sonny’s enemies do not need to know that she is his girlfriend, and breaking up is the only thing he can do that he thinks might keep her safe – but he might be wrong about that – and future General Hospital spoilers tease that they may not break up.

GH Spoilers – Michael Corinthos Grew Up With Danger From His Father’s Enemies

Michael knows what danger is from mob turf wars. He grew up with it and he knows what he is talking about. Even though he has embraced his Quartermaine side and is CEO of his grandfather’s company, ELQ, had has been through many dangerous times in his life because of his father’s business.

Even though Sonny has not actively been involved in mob business for several years, someone has been gunning for him, and anyone associated with him, and Michael knows about the Corinthos coffee truck that was hijacked and burned recently from talking with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

He knows that is a common calling card of rival mobsters wanting to take over a territory that belongs to someone else. This is not someone who is in the five families, and also not someone who knows how Sonny does business, or they would know he doesn’t use his coffee company as a front!

General Hospital Spoilers – Michael Corinthos Has Been Hurt As A Result Of Mob Activity Before

Michael has been held at gunpoint by both The Balkan (Daniel Benzali) and Anthony Zacchara (Bruce Weitz), as well as Joe Scully, Jr. (Richard Steinmetz), as longtime General Hospital viewers will recall. He was also attacked by one of Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) henchmen when Luke was still suffering from his dissociative identity disorder, and operating as “Fluke” and involved in some mob-related activities.

Luke was once involved in the mob under Frank Smith (Joe Cortese) who was Sonny’s predecessor for the Port Charles territory and longtime viewers will recall how Luke and Laura when they were together had to run from Frank Smith, even to Canada because Luke was trying to get out of the mob, among other things, and Frank didn’t like it.

This is also when Sonny and Luke met and became friends. Michael knows that a turf war is serious and nothing to laugh at and that Sasha can be in extreme danger if these interlopers know that Michael is Sonny’s adopted son!
