Now this is something that no young man wants their father to say out loud, let alone announce it to the entire world. It seems like Donald Trump might have just shaded his son Barron Trump, but in a very indirect way. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

During a new interview, Donald Trump said that his “very good looking son” Barron, who is now 18, has never had a girlfriend.

Not only that, but he also suggested that he might be a late bloomer as the former president added, “Not sure he’s there yet.”

Ouch. Trump said of his son, “I’m not sure he’s there yet. I don’t think he’s had a girlfriend yet. He doesn’t mind being alone, but he’s somebody that gets along with people.”

If that weren’t enough, he also called Barron “very smart,” a “very nice guy” and a “good student.”

And while Barron Trump didn’t make any comments about the matter, the internet sure did.

Some comments from critics on both sides of the aisle said, “I’m no fan of Trump, but his son deserves privacy. Why is his father out telling the world his personal business?”

“He’ll get there. Every guy doesn’t have to be attached to someone all the time as soon as they become a teenager.”

Another critic wrote, “I think everyone kind of knew that already. But at least we know Trump is willing to humiliate his 18 year old son to stay in the news cycle.”

And then there was this comment as well: “He shouldn’t talk about his son’s personal life—not the romantic stuff, anyway. Keep it generic!”

“Barron needs to change his name and escape his family before it’s too late.”

Here’s hoping that this doesn’t ruin Barron’s chances of landing a girlfriend in college, right?
