90 Day Fiancé alum Mike Eloshway, who appeared in Season 1 of the TLC show, just lost his appeal to have his CSAM prison sentence thrown out. Read on for more details about the Cleveland native.

Mike Was Arrested & Convicted

In June 2023, TLC fans heard that Mike was arrested for allegedly being in possession of child pornography. Many people felt shocked and scared for his daughter with Aziza, and they hoped the court would throw the book at him.

Well, as the courts moved along, fans heard that he was under house arrest and forbidden to be near kids. Apparently, he downloaded a lot of porn onto his computer, and he was also charged with distribution.

That is something that Josh Duggar from TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting didn’t get charged with. So, fans thought it must have been good evidence of intent.

Appealing The Sentence

Follow-up news revealed that the court found Mike Eloshway guilty in 2024, and he was sentenced to 10 years behind bars, with 10 years on probation, and he had to pay back some compensation to some of his victims. He also paid a large fine for the offenses.

This week, US Weekly reported that he filed an appeal against his sentence. During his court case, Mike Eloshway claimed he’d only meant to watch adult videos, and that he was going to get rid of the content involving kids. It didn’t do him any good then, and it didn’t help him this time either.

Sentence Appeal Not Granted

The outlet reported that the court of appeals heard that part of his appeal contained allegations that his original attorney should have asked some extra questions. Additionally, his appeal felt that the judge was way too harsh by giving him so much time behind bars.

Additionally, they wrote:

He also argued the judge should not have sentenced him to 121 months as someone ‘who lacked the intent to distribute, download or even [view the videos] and took measures to prevent its distribution once he discovered that its presence would inadvertently appear on his computer.'”

While fans might be happy to hear the news that the appeal was rejected, like Josh Duggar’s were, his wife and mom might not feel the same way. During the case, both of them pleaded for him to stay out of prison. As far as they were concerned, he was a supportive husband and great dad.
