Bethenny Frankel simply wants people to stop “hating” on Gwyneth Paltrow. Even though the two women really don’t know one another and it’s doubtful that Bethenny has ever even met Gwyneth, the former Real Housewives of New York star went on the record to defend the Hollywood actress after she got slammed for promoting unhealthy eating habits. While on The Art of Being Well podcast, the Hollywood actress opened up about her diet and her exercise routine. She said, “I eat dinner early in the evening. I do a nice intermittent fast. So, I have coffee, but I really like soup for lunch. I have bone broth for lunch a lot of the days.”

Bethenny took to her latest TikTok to explain that Gwyneth’s fanbase aren’t tweens or teens, who thinks is a demographic that suffers the most from eating disorders. Bethenny put it this way, “When people are talking about eating disorders … her base isn’t tweens. My daughter, [Bryn], doesn’t know who Gwyneth Paltrow is. It’s not for 18-year-olds, I think it’s for moms.”

Bethenny went on to say that people need to stop hating on Gwyneth Paltrow and that all the “moms” out there “know her shtick” and have been hearing it for as long as they can remember.

Yet, many of Bethenny’s critics clapped back in the comments section by suggesting that eating disorders can happen at any age, regardless of who you are or where you are coming from. Some comments included, “Moms who follow and admire her are just as susceptible to Eating Disorders as the 18 year olds.”

Bethenny then followed up by saying that at the end of the day it really doesn’t matter what Gwyneth is promoting online. She said, “Why does anyone care [what she does]? … I don’t know if you want her to tell the truth or lie.”
