Bethenny Frankel Applauds Anna Wintour For Making The Kardashians Sit This Year’s Met Gala Out
The Star of “The Real Housewives of New York City” took to her TikTok account to share her mind concerning the latest development in a nearly 6-minute video.
Bethenny Frankel — Frankel Believes Wintour “Wants To Class It Up”
Frankel has never hidden her dislike of how the Kardashians spend so much money to buy clothes in the name of fashion, neither has she ever applauded the reality tv family for always using photoshop and heavily editing their photos on social media.
Last year September 2022, in an interview with TMZ, she described the act as “irresponsible, it’s reckless, it’s not inspirational, it’s not aspirational, it’s destructive.”
Speaking to her followers on TikTok, Frankel guessed that Wintour’s move of not adding the Kardashian family to the guest list might be because Wintour wants to stay off inviting big names to the occasion.
Frankel went on to say, “Maybe [Wintour] got all the juice out of that lemon, and now she wants to class it up.” She revealed that the world of fashion has been taken up by wealth.
Frankel believes that due to how the wealthy are fully into fashion and trends, people tend to seek “Kardashian intervention,” and added, “We’re in a situation where people want a Kardashian cleanse.”
Amid praising Wintour’s decision, Frankel shared her opinion on why neither Kim nor any member of Kim’s family were invited, “She makes bold decisions and plays chess … so maybe she has to appeal to her base which is fashion, which is not Addison Rae and Kylie Jenner wearing a backwards baseball hat and a tutu and throwing money at the problem.”
Bethenny Frankel — Frankel Spoke Of Kim Kardashian’s 2022 Met Gala Apparel
Last year’s Met Gala had everyone talking about Kim Kardashian’s Marilyn Monroe’s iconic gown. The SKIMS founder revealed that it took her 13 weeks to lose 16 pounds just to fit into one of the legendary Marilyn Monroe’s gowns.
The gown in question was designed by Bob Mackie and worn by Marilyn the day she sang “Happy Birthday Mr. President” to John F. Kennedy, in the year 1962.
In her video, the “Skinnygirl” CEO insinuated that Monroe’s gown should have remained in the museum and not allowed to be purchased by the wealthy. She said of Kim’s action, “A rich person can’t just go to the pyramids and decide to chisel off a piece of the pyramids because they have money and power.”
She went on to say, “I don’t see Anna Wintour wearing [head-to-toe logos] that seem like [they’re] for the masses. That’s for people that just want to participate and, like, show off and flex and pretend they’re fashionable.”
