Lifetime Spoilers – My Mom Made Me Do It on Lifetime

Lifetime is known for its dark and gripping thrillers that grab the attention of their audience and here comes one more. Later this month, a new, original thriller movie is set to premiere under the title My Mom Made Me Do It, about a mother and daughter duo.

According to the official synopsis, Jade is a star student and her mother Frida, is a crime author and the pair is very close. However, when Jade finds out about her mother’s secret financial problems, she joins her bad-boy crush, Rick, in a series of high-profile burglaries. Meanwhile, these easily bring in enough cash to pay off Frida’s debts.

However, when Jade tries to quit Rick’s gang, they have other ideas, leading to both Jade and Frida fighting for their very lives.

Kate Drummond plays the role of Frida and appeared alongside Brooke Shields in the Hallmark Channel Flower Shop Mystery. Meanwhile, in 2016 she played a recurring role as Agent Lucado in the TV series Wynonna Earp. More recently, Kate played the role of Authority Phydra in Utopia Falls. As noted by MEAWW, along the way, Drummond has also done voice-overs for a number of video games.

Besides acting, Kate Drummond also wrote and directed the 2016 film Go Fish, which earned her the Best Feature award at the Muskoka Independent Film Festival.

Meanwhile, Lizzie Boys plays the role of Jade in My Mom Made Me Do It. She is known for her roles in Dead Shack (2017), Nancy Drew (2019) and Firefly Lane (2021). Other stars include Kate Twa, Sean Owen Roberts and Tyson Arner. Moreover, the movie is directed by Jessica Harmon from a story by Geoff Dupuy-Holder.

My Mom Made Me Do It is set to premiere on Lifetime Movie Network on Friday, May 27, at 8/7c.
