This week, reports emerged that Penny Lancaster and her musician husband Sir Rod Stewart were having serious issues in their marriage over the issue of selling their LA home.

Source Alleges Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster’s Big Argument is Enough to Damage Marriage
According to a source speaking to the Daily Mail, the longtime couple are at loggerheads regarding where they should spend their sunset years, and while Lancaster is ready to leave LA behind, Stewart isn’t so sure about it.
“Penny has no plans to return to LA, which she’s not a fan of, while Rod has no plans to move back right now,” the source alleged, adding, “They’re at a stalemate and Penny is angry that Rod’s gone back on his word. It’s about saving their marriage right now.”
Per the source, the couple’s £55 million mansion in Beverly Hills was put up for sale, but Stewart had turned down two offers, pissing off Lancaster in the process.
Rod Stewart Explains Reason He and Penny Lancaster Want To Move Back Home
When the rift rumors emerged, Stewart speedily put an end to it in a statement explaining that he and his wife see eye to eye when it comes to the future of their LA home.
On Thursday, the musician took to Instagram in a lengthy statement: “Despite erroneous articles in the Daily Mail and other tabloids that followed suit. We wanted to put the record straight,”
Stewart began. There is absolutely no rift between Penny and I and no disagreement over where we should reside, in fact, it’s the opposite.”
“We moved permanently back to our beloved Britain a year ago but are fortunate to also have homes in different countries, which we love to visit. Originally, we did think it made sense to sell our house in LA.”
“But having spent a wonderful time there this summer with family and friends during my Vegas residency we realised that it makes sense to keep our house there.”
He concluded: “Two of my eldest children still live in Celtic House (the LA residence). Penny and I could not be more in love with each other after 27 glorious years. Please trust me on this… there’s no disharmony in our marriage. Rod ‘A very lucky man’ Stewart.”
While the ‘Loose Women’ star didn’t offer a comment of her own, she shared her agreement by reposting her husband’s statement and adding a smiley face gif.
If this isn’t enough to dispel the rumors of an impending divorce, nothing else will.
