Rumer Willis Updates Fans On Dad Bruce Willis’ Condition

As we all know, back in 2022, Bruce Willis was unfortunately received a diagnosis that would forever halt his acting career. It was revealed that he had Aphasia, a type of dementia that affects someone’s ability to communicate.

Back in 2022, they made the announcement, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities.”

It was also revealed last year that Willis has frontotemporal dementia, which further inhibits areas of language, personality, and behavior.

Rumer Willis – A good support system

Rumer Willis, Bruce’s daughter, recently shared in an Instagram post some progress on her Dad’s health journey. “He’s great. I love him so much. Thank you.” she captioned alongside a picture of her and her Father holding hands.

All thing considered, we’re glad to know that Willis is doing as well as he is, especially considering the battle he’s been waging against a literal disease of the brain. We are glad to know that during such a difficult time he has the support of his family and that he can lean on them.

Rumer Willis – Not “Single-Moming It”

Rumer also shared that even though she and her former partner Derek Richard Thomas are no longer together that she is not by any means a single Mom and is rather co-parenting with him, in fact it has been revealed that the entire family has grown closer in the wake of her father’s illness.

“This experience has brought the whole family even closer together.” A source told Us Weekly in December of 2023, “No one knows how much time Bruce has left, so they’re soaking up every moment they get with him.” indeed, no one is guaranteed a day on this earth, it’s good that Willis’s family seems to be aware of that. We’re glad that they can get these moments with him

Rumer Willis – What Does The Future Hold?

What does this mean for the star going forward? It looks like he will be spending a lot of time with his family and embracing the retired life.

After such a glorious career, he deserves a good quality of life and we are glad that his family seems to be providing that for him.

Nowadays you hear about children going no contact with their parents a lot, but Willis seems to have gotten something right. He and former wife Demi Moore didn’t really stand the test of time, but as far as family and Fatherhood goes, he seems to have hit the jackpot.
