Joe Duttine (Tim Metcalfe) mentioned that the anniversary special will include Geoff in some way. Even if he isn’t seen on screen, he will be mentioned or referenced in some way.

Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Dynevor teased that it will be a “lovely community story.” For those who are tired of the soap’s doom and gloom, that is good news. It sounds like it will be a positive episode, which is exactly what viewers need right now.

“It’s great because it’s a community story, everyone is involved which is perfect for Coronation Street. ‘We’re all coming together and it’s a really lovely community story.”

Not only will every single character be somehow part of the 60th-anniversary episode, everyone pulls together. This sounds like they all have a common goal. Since Geoff was specifically mentioned, but this is a “lovely community story,” perhaps everyone on the cobbles will put an end to the villain’s reign of terror.

It certainly would be really nice if Yasmeen would finally get the support of everyone. As fans recall, when she was first arrested, the only person by her side was Alya Nazir (Sair Khan). Slowly, others have begun coming around. For this important and long storyline, it would be a great grand finale if everyone on the cobbles rallied around Yasmeen and we got to see Geoff get what he deserves.
