In the upcoming episode of the longest-running soap, the cobbles organize an event to raise money for charity. The residents participate in the clothes swap and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) happens to grab a denim jacket. When she reaches home, she shows her new clothing to Chesney (Sam Aston) and heads to the bathroom.

When Gemma’s phone rings, Chesney jumps off to answer it, so he reaches for her new jacket. As he grabs the phone, a pregnancy test falls out, leading him to question his partner. Gemma denies the claim and thinks that it might belong to the previous owner.

As curiosity devours her, Gemma is determined to discover the woman who carries a bun in the oven. Later that day, her brother Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) recognizes Summer Spellman’s (Harriet Bibby) jacket, giving Gemma an idea of whom she was looking for. Meanwhile, Paul opens up about the pregnancy to the young woman and keeps it a secret. When Summer witnesses the moment that Paul breaks the truth to Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), she hurriedly rushes out of the pub.

Meanwhile, Aaron (James Craven) calls it quits with Summer when his dad ends up in the hospital bed. It all starts when he spends his weekend with his girlfriend and Billy. He hesitates to come back home that his dad, Eric, might beat him again. Later that day, Aaron receives multiple calls and texts from his dad but ignores all of them.

After a while, a police officer arrives at the scene and tells him about his dad being in the hospital and having been in a house fire. Aaron gets horrified and blames himself for being absent during the time his father needed him the most. On the other hand, Summer tries her best to calm his boyfriend down. However, the moment gets worse when Aaron decides to end his relationship with Summer.
