Coronation Street Spoilers: Leanne Battersby Gives Late Oliver’s Room To Stepson Sam Blakeman

Coronation Street spoilers and teasers reveal that Leanne Battersby is faced with the hard decision of overcoming grief over the death of her son Oliver by giving his room to her stepson Sam Blakeman.

Viewers can remember when 2020 was about to close, Oliver, played by twins Emmanuel and Jeremiah Cheetham, died due to an incurable mitochondrial disease.

Next week in the ITV soap, Leanne (Jane Danson), who’s still struggling about Oliver’s passing, gives late Oliver’s bedroom to Sam when his mother Natasha Blakeman (Rachel Leskovac) asks Leanne and Nick if Sam can stay with them for a week.

Sam (Jude Riordan) rushes to the room and pastes the astronomy posters but this makes Leanne upset. When Nick (Ben Price) immediately suggests taking the posters down, Sam worries he’s at fault by dismaying his stepmother.

Happening later next week, Nick shows Sam’s bruised knee to Leanne, who is not giving any care at all.

But their peaceful day is troubled when Sam goes missing. It starts when Nick looks for his son around the house and when he gets no response after calling Sam’s attention, he’s frantic with worry. Leanne notices Nick’s crazy search for the lad and calls others for help.

Meanwhile, Sam is just making himself comfortable in a hiding spot near the balcony. He’s turned off the world by enjoying the songs with his headphones on full volume.

On the other side of Weatherfield next week, Tyrone (Alan Halsall) plans to ruin Fiz’s second date with Phil (Jamie Kenna).

After learning the pair is scheduled to have a date at the Bistro, Tyrone drags Alina (Ruxandra Porojnicu) with his crazy plans. But Tyrone’s constant gazing at Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) irritates pregnant Alina.

Alone to pay the bills as Alina heads home earlier as she suffers from a headache, Tyrone mocks Phil and Fiz for their expenses.

But the jokes on him as his card gets declined by the system. He’s consumed with embarrassment when Phil offers to pay.

Corrie fans are curious about Fiz’s new on-screen partner, Phil, played by the 47-year-old well-known Hollywood actor Jamie Kenna.

In his latest Instagram post, he shared his enthusiasm for joining the cast of Coronation Street: “ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! I can finally…. FINALLY tell you all my amazing news! As of 16th July I will be appearing regularly as Phil Whittaker in the national institution that is @coronationstreet.”

“I can’t tell you how excited I am to be joining the cast. Especially the brilliant @jenniemcalpine & @alanhalsall.”
