ITV Coronation Street spoilers reveal that a blast from the past returns when Natasha Blakeman, played by Rachel Leskovac, comes back to Corrie after a ten-year absence. This will no doubt stun her ex Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) who is in the midst of a serious family drama.
He last saw the hairdresser in 2010 after the troubled woman made a failed suicide attempt and experienced a tragic abortion. A decade is a long time and no doubt Natasha and Nick will need time to process her return.
Will Natasha’s return cause things to go south between her ex-boyfriend Nick Tilsley and his current girlfriend Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson)?

Leanne and Nick are not in a good place right now. Her son is desperately ill and she is in denial about his condition as well as lashing out at her loved ones as she struggles to cope with his diagnosis. It would seem that Natasha being back in town could lead to a further rift between them especially if Nick never truly got over Natasha whose brash departure left him heartbroken.
Rachel is delighted to be back on the soap, telling the Daily Mail, “I am very excited and proud to be welcomed back to Coronation Street, especially as so many old friends are still there. It’s always great to be able to return to a character to explore a whole new path for them.”

Fans can expect to first see Natasha in September. At that time she will be shocked to see Nick at the hospital where Leann’s son is being treated.
Corrie suspended filming in mid-March as did most of the television and film productions in progress across the globe. The reason was the coronavirus pandemic which has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives and continues to be problematic.

Britain’s longest-running soap returned to the set in June when mandatory lockdown restrictions were eased.
The cast and crew now film in an entirely different set of circumstances from when they last shot tape. That’s because in order to return to production they had to implement a variety of COVID-19 safety precautions such as social distancing, mask-wearing, and regular hand washing.
Showrunners have said that the pandemic will be addressed in future scenes in order to mimic the real world, but have promised that the virus will not become a major plot point.
