General Hospital Hayden Barnes, fans get ready to pop the champagne as we heard an amazing rumor that Rebecca Budig is set to reprise the role on GH.

Budig, a soap opera veteran first got her start on daytime soap operas with her role as Michelle Bauer on Guiding Light in 1995. She went on to make her name in soaps as she took on the role of Greenlee Smythe on All My Children in 1998. After an amazing run on the show, Budig came back to soaps in 2015 with the role of Hayden Barnes on GH.

General Hospital Spoilers – Last time We Saw Hayden Barnes

In March 215, as paid by Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), Hayden came to town posing as the wife of the amnesiac Jake Doe (Billy Miller). This was done so that Ric could have Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), who was falling for Jake. Hayden’s schemes were later exposed.

She found out Jake’s real identity, that he was Jason Morgan and blackmailed Nikolas Cassadine (then played by Tyler Christopher) with the information. As a result, Nikolas had Hayden shot which left her in a coma. She later woke up with amnesia and moved in with Nikolas where he could keep a close eye on her. Later, Hayden figured out the truth but decided to stay quiet and start a relationship with Nikolas. The truth was later revealed.

More On Her GH Storyline

Hayden’s true identity was revealed at a later time on the show. Nikolas found out that she was Rachel Berlin, the daughter of Raymond Berlin. We were also later introduced to Hayden’s mother, Naomi Dreyfus who we saw again on the show last year. This time around rumors began swirling that Barnes would be back on the show now that the truth about her shooting was revealed.

Another truth in Hayden’s story came to light as she was revealed to be the daughter of Jeff Webber now making her the half-sister of Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). In her latter time on the show, Hayden and Finn (Michael Easton) got into a relationship. They have a daughter, Violet (Jophielle Love).
