General Hospital spoilers reveal Courtney Mathews (Alicia Leigh Willis) is alive! Laura Collins (Genie Francis) could be sorely disappointed when she arrives in Chechnya and doesn’t find any trace of Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), but there are going to be clear signs that someone is living in the house Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) inherited from Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

Laura and Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) won’t believe their eyes when they find Spencer’s mother in Russia — whom they believed to have died in 2006.

General Hospital Spoilers — Laura Hunts for Nikolas

Laura is desperate to find her son and bring him home to his own boys. She has every confidence that he can negotiate against the charges waiting for him, though he may actually have to pay for his crimes —- for once.

Still, Nikolas belongs with his sons and should be home raising Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), not leaving Spencer to give up his dreams for his own life while he picks up the pieces of Nikolas’.

Laura is always oh so eager to see to it that her son and grandson both rise to the occasion and take care of their responsibilities.

While she couldn’t be more proud of Spencer, it’s simply not his job to raise Nikolas’ child when Nikolas is capable of doing so. Of course, Laura has no awareness of the condition he was in the last time anyone saw him.

GH Spoilers Claim Nik is in Port Charles

Little does Laura know, Nikolas is actually on likely American soil back home in Port Charles. He’s never left, despite Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) claims that he hitched the first ride out of town when he learned the truth about what he did to Esme was bound to come out.

Mason Gatlin (Nathanael Grey) was nursing Nikolas back to health the last we saw the Cassadine Prince. It’s likely that he was doing so locally, given the severity of Nik’s injury after Ava took her anger out on him.

So if Spencer’s dad isn’t in Chechnya, who is? Word on the street is it’s Spencer’s mother. Not actually dead but having been held hostage far longer than Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) ever was, it’s possible that Victor could have been keeping Courtney far away from Spencer all of these years.

Could this have been Uncle Victor’s master plan to shape Spencer’s upbringing — removing any of the influence Courtney would’ve had on him and ensuring he stayed purely Cassadine — or perhaps, not so purely? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
