General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Is Leaving Town And Nina Is Shelved — This Can Only Mean One Thing for Sonny and Carly

General Hospital spoilers tease Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is about to head out of town, and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is worried she may never see him again. That might sound irrational to some people, but Carly has recently suffered the death of two men she loved — both her husbands at the time, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Sonny might be alive and well, but she can’t shake the feeling that bad things are on the horizon for Drew as he joins ranks with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to take down Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy).

It’s going to make it far too easy for Carly to distance herself from Drew, emotionally, while he’s away, and we know what they say — when the cat’s away, the mice will play. Coupled with Sonny’s recent decision to table his relationship with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in interest of keeping her safe, this sounds like a recipe for a reunion.

GH fans lamented loudly when Drew forgave Carly recently after it was revealed she tried to sabotage his efforts to find Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) birth family. Drew was beside himself over what she had done, and he was furious that she wouldn’t trust him and would sink so low as to lie to him just to get her own way. He had no problem calling her out on her plan to keep her secret just to suit her own needs. Then he turned around and told her he would forgive her right before they jumped into bed together. Is Drew going to come to regret that decision?

GH Spoilers – Say Sonny Corinthos And Carly Spencer Fall For Each Other, Again

No one should be surprised to hear that a reunion lies ahead for Sonny and Carly. These two never drift apart for too terribly long, and neither of their respective alternate relationships are really doing anything — for them, or us! The chemistry just isn’t there with Sonny and Nina, and she doesn’t have the same edge that Carly does as Sonny’s wife to carry the persona of a mob boss so well. Nina shrinks down and hides in times of fear and cowers in corners plotting against people while Carly calls them like she sees them. She just suits Sonny better. Speaking of which, she’s hardly the pure and loving counterpart that Drew deserves.

General Hospital Spoilers — Nina Reeves Will Make Them Pay

Drew might not be aware of what’s going on in Port Charles while he’s away fighting Valentin’s demons, but Nina will be acutely aware of how close Carly and Sonny are getting again. Sonny is about to fall on some pretty hard times as Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) see their plan through and seek to decimate his enterprise. The only person around and qualified to step into his shoes will be Carly. Nina isn’t going to like this one bit, and she’s going to see to it that Carly and Sonny are cozy once again — behind bars.
