Hallmark: Hunter King & Chandler Massey In The Professional Bridesmaid

Two soap alums star in a new, original Hallmark movie, A Professional Bridesmaid. One lead actress is Hunter King (The Young and the Restless), while the other lead is Chandler Massey (Days of Our Lives). Premiering on Saturday, April 8, the movie sees a reporter sniffing around a story relating to a wedding. According to the official synopsis, some years ago, Maggie Bailey (Hunter King) discovered she had a particular skill set for being an ace bridesmaid. Due to this, she went pro and now uses her talents to help brides navigate the difficult emotional and social dynamics that go with planning their big day, as well as the practical.

Maggie’s latest client, Alexis Shepard (Francesca Bianchi) is the daughter of the mayor of Columbus who is currently up for reelection. In fact, her wedding promises to be the event of the summer, with loads of scrutiny. For this reason, the mayor’s team hires Maggie to join the bridal party and help keep things on track. However, it is vital that no one knows Maggie is a hired bridesmaid, so she poses as Alexis’ old friend, Maisie.

Unfortunately, Henry Whittington (Chandler Massey) is an ambitious local reporter, assigned to the high society story. He starts sniffing around, hoping to get close to the mayor for a scoop on the pending development of local parkland.

Meanwhile, to be able to pull off her assignment, Maggie must coordinate three unhelpful bridesmaids to keep Henry focused on the wedding itself. However, while hiding her identity from Henry, she begins to grow closer to him.

As mentioned, Hunter King, who plays Maggie, is known for her role in The Young and the Restless. However, she has also starred in A Girl Like Her, Life in Pieces and more recently, Hidden Gems on Hallmark. Meanwhile, Chandler Massey, who plays Henry, is known for his role as Will Horton on Days of Our Lives. Francesca Bianchi plays Alexis Shepard and has previously been seen in A Million Little Things.

Other cast members include Roark Critchlow (V, Mr. Deeds, Arrow) as Mayor Evan Shepard and Casey Manderson (Nutshells) as the mayoral aide Thomas.

Moreover, Lillian Doucet-Roche (A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish, Zoe, 27-Hour Day) stars as Chloe, Jillian Walchuk (Supernatural, Five Summer Weddings) plays Shannon and Ecstasia Sands (Supernatural, Psych, Smallville) plays Ruthie.
