When Below Deck first began, fans immediately adored Captain Lee Rosbach. But recently, Lee suffered health problems. As a result, both crew and viewers felt shocked to see the beloved captain leave his yacht amid season 10. And it turned into a game of musical chairs when Below Deck: Med Captain Sandy Yawn stepped in. 

However, events then happened so quickly that no one had time to miss Lee. For instance, Sandy fired multiple crew. And her management style proved so different from Lee’s that crew struggled to adjust. But although Lee finally returned, spoilers reveal that he will depart the show he made famous in season 11, according to Yahoo.

And questions about why the Stud Of The Sea will depart remain. Because Lee has remained popular for all 10 seasons of Below Deck, fans don’t understand why he would leave. And his joy at returning to his yacht after Sandy stepped in showed clearly. Season 10 also revealed the crew’s happiness at seeing Lee’s comeback. But spoilers indicate Lee’s departure appears permanent for all of season 11.

Below Deck Spoilers – Captain Lee Gets Humble

Several seasons have shown Captain Lee increasingly struggling with his health. But season 10 proved the turning point. And after using a cane or crutches, Lee turned to a confessional to share his status. “My injury, it’s getting worse. The left side of my body, I don’t feel anything,” revealed the usually stoic captain.

And Lee humbly added, “I expected a lot more progress than I’m experiencing.” But he admitted that all his attempts to regain his health without leaving his yacht didn’t help. “And the most frustrating part about it is, I can’t do a goddamn thing about it,” added Lee. “It’s hard.”

But the Below Deck captain shared he felt determined to “do right by” his crew. As a result, he put his crew first and temporarily left the yacht, turning it over to Captain Sandy. However, the crew didn’t all adjust well to the change, as season 10 revealed.

For instance, Sandy and chief stew, Fraser Olender clashed repeatedly. And she also riled Captain Lee when he learned that she had fired stew Camille Lamb without alerting him. As a result, Lee turned to Twitter to sound off. “Had I been replacing Captain Sandy on her boat temporarily and felt the necessity to fire one of her crew, I would have called her first to let her know what I was doing and why,” revealed the Stud Of The Sea to Twitter. 

And he added, “I agree with her decision, just not how she went about it.” However, Lee didn’t stop there. And he tweeted his disappointment in Sandy, noting her actions “lacked in procedure and respect.” As a result, spoilers hint that Below Deck season 11 will see Lee replaced again! And that turned into speculation. Did Lee step down because of his health? Or did he retire involuntarily?

And instead, spoilers hint that Captain Kerry Titheradge will replace Lee during season 11. Captain Kerry appeared on the spin-off Below Deck Adventure.
