Chrisley Knows Best spoilers, news, and updates reveal that, according to PEOPLE, Kyle, the once-estranged son of Todd Chrisley, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault by Smyrna, Tennessee police on Monday, March 13. According to the public citation, the former TLC personality’s bond was set on Tuesday at $3,000.

Smyrna Police said, per a press release, that Kyle, who works at a Smyrna truck rental company, got into a physical altercation with a supervisor (via WSAZ). During the incident Chrisley, 32, allegedly brandished a “fixed blade.”

The press release continues, indicating that Kyle “voluntarily appeared” to be booked in relation to the “criminal warrant.” Authorities said that Chrisley was transported to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.

Kyle’s arrest comes in the wake of his father Todd, 54, surrendering to the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola to begin his 12-year prison sentence. Kyle’s stepmom, Julie, 50, initially set to serve at Florida’s Federal Correctional Institution Marianna will now spend her time at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. (via Los Angeles Times).

The Chrisley Knows Best stars were sentenced to a combined term of 19 years after a jury convicted them of bank fraud and tax evasion to the tune of more than $30 million. Both Todd and Julie will be required to serve an additional 16 months of supervised release following their release from prison.

In an Instagram Story following his parents’ sentencing, Kyle quoted the bible verse Matthew 7: 1-3: Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way, you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you,” read one verse. “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?”

Todd Chrisley shares two children, a son Kyle and a daughter Lindsie Chrisley with his former wife Teresa Terry. Tensions between Kyle his father and his stepmother increased after the Chrisley Family patriarch was granted custody of Kyle’s daughter with ex Angela Johnson, Chloe.

“I haven’t been the best dad to Chloe,” Kyle wrote in an Instagram post in 2019. “I’ve had a problem with drugs, I’ve acted completely ridiculous and through all that, they have stood by my side.”

“Nine months ago, I went to my dad with an apology,” he continued. “His words were ‘I love you always, and you are forgiven’ and just like that, I was welcomed back into his life with open arms. I will be forever grateful for his love [and] graciousness.'”
