One of the perks of ‘The Masked Singer’ is that there’s always something new and exciting to perk us up every season.
I know it seems just like yesterday when Boy II Men’s Buffalo was crowned champion, but actually, it’s time to begin a new chapter.
In fact, it’s only a couple of days away.
How ‘The Masked Singer’ Plans To Incorporate A New Technique Called “Lucky 13” Theme Into Its New Season
This season of ‘The Masked Singer’ is going to keep you on your toes, literally. According to Entertainment Weekly, there’s going to be a few beautiful surprises when the new season debuts this Feb. 12 on Fox.
One of the surprises is called “Lucky 13” theme, which will more or less have a lot to do with the reverse jinx.
“Who said 13 was an unlucky number? Just when you think you’ve seen it all, season 13 of The Masked Singer is back with the luckiest, most fun season full of clues and special unmaskings with its all-new ‘Lucky 13’ theme.”
At present, we don’t know what format this could take, and even if it will help with the big hints and reveals, but what we do know is that it comes with a brand new character called Lucky Duck.
EW previously reported that “the character “is delightfully mischievous and will pop in throughout the season to offer cheeky and luck-related clues. Lucky Duck will be unmasked at the end of the season, and there could be a very special connection to someone on the show!”
In a way, Lucky Duck will resemble Cluedle-Doo, whose season 5 appearance meant more clues to fans and relentless torments to the panel. We know how the Cluedle-Doo thing panned out, yeah?
If you don’t, it’s streaming, so just brush up on it. I promise it’s worth the time.
The New Format For ‘The Masked Singer’ Season 13
While there’s been some changes, fans are really not going to be going into the new season wondering whether they’re watching a brand new game show. For one thing, the Ding Dong Keep It On Bell, Battle Royales, and Smackdowns from last year are all back.
The 15 contestants will be broken into three groups, with five singers per group. This is where the difference comes in: instead of disqualifying two singers from each group finale like season 12, only one will exit. This way, six contestants will get to head into what the show is choosing to call “Lucky 6 Speed Guessing” episode.
