Heartbreaking details about Queen Elizabeth’s death have been revealed. As many royal fans know, the late Queen of England died on September 8th, 2022 at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

And apparently, that was the one place that she wanted to die. Here’s what you need to know.

It’s been one year since the queen’s death and many members of the royal family, including her grandchildren, Prince William and Prince Harry, have honored her memory with public showings.

There’s one person from the queen’s inner circle that suggested she might have been granted her dying wish without even knowing it.

Queen Elizabeth’s cousin Lady Elizabeth Shakerley told Katie Nicholl that the Queen of England’s one dying wish was to take her last breath at Balmoral Castle.

As many royal fans probably already know, Balmoral was the Queen’s favorite summer retreat. It was also the one place that she felt as though she was at peace.

Nicholl put it this way, “I think [her] actual death was very peaceful. She went to sleep and she died in her bed in Balmoral. That has always been very, very special to her. And thank goodness it was such a peaceful passing for the Queen.”

Royal Family News: Queen Elizabeth Wanted To Die At Balmoral

It’s also been noted that King Charles is currently at Balmoral Castle. Now, whether or not he did anything to remember his late mother, no one knows.

It’s no secret that he’s wanting to continue the tradition of having the entire royal family gather at Balmoral every summer just like Queen Elizbeth used to do.

In fact, everyone was there this month with the exception of both Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle.

However, Prince Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson and their two daughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice were all there along with their respective families. 

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter. Watch this space as we are sure there is more royal drama to come.
