There’s a new report that suggests Meghan Markle is failing with her Princess Diana cosplay as there are very few people out there who are convinced that she has what it takes to be the next Princess Diana. According to Tory minister David Mellor, the Duchess of Sussex couldn’t hold a candle to the late Princess Diana.

While she’s been doing her best to charm the crowds at the Invictus Games in Germany, Mellor says that Meghan just doesn’t have that same charm that Princess Diana had when she was still alive.

While the crowds are certainly excited to see her, they aren’t dying to see her the same way they did with Princess Diana so many years ago.

Mellor also says that he thinks it’s pretty pathetic that Meghan is trying so hard to follow in Diana’s footsteps when she could be carving out her own path.

He told GB News in an interview, “It’s a sad half-life that she has. She always thought she could drift into the royal family and become the new Princess Diana and all she would have to do is doll herself up and smile to the camera.”

He continued, “What she failed to realize is that royals work hard doing, frankly, deadly dull things. She obviously found them too dull.”

Meghan Markle Is Trying To Follow In Princess Diana’s Footsteps

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the criticism although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.

Regardless of whether or not she is trying to cosplay Princess Diana, one thing is for certain: it’s really hard to ignore her, no matter how hard some people try.
