Meghan Markle Pregnancy: Is She Having Twins?

With all eyes on Meghan Markle and her pregnancy, a handful of people are now speculating that the Duchess is having twins. A twin pregnancy is hardly a rare occurrence, as it happens 1 in 250 pregnancies. However, there hasn’t been a twin born to the royal family in over 600 years.

Meghan’s Pregnancy

Not much is known about the royal pregnancy. They have kept the details quiet. The only thing known is that she is having her baby in the Spring. The announcement from the Palace said that Prince Harry and Markle were expecting A BABY in the Spring of 2019. They specifically said a baby, as in one child. Even though that seems to be pretty clear, social media users are convinced she is having twins.

All Bets Are Off!

According to Mail Online, the betting site Paddy Power received such an influx of bets that the couple is having twins, they stopped allowing anyone to bet. Apparently, according to the twin rumor, an inside source was the first person to place the twin bet, leading to a large amount of the people placing the same wager.

A spokesman for Paddy Power released a statement saying, “ We had to suspend betting, We saw an almost identical pattern of betting before the announcement of the couple’s engagement and pregnancy.” The statement continued, “ Since the day began, the stream of bets has led us to believe that perhaps the punters – or an insider source – knows something more than we do.”

Even though the betting site seems to imply that maybe, possibly the Royal couple are having twins, the Palace has yet to make a statement to confirm or deny the rumor. Or now, it looks like Meghan Markle is only having ONE baby.
