There’s nothing like the first anniversary of your grandmother’s death to get the competitive juices flowing.

There’s a new report that suggests Prince William and Kate Middleton were totally caught off guard by Prince Harry’s behavior in London.

Apparently, they didn’t think that he would honor Queen Elizabeth’s memory in the way that he did during his very short trip to London.

And yet he did, and that’s why the Prince and Princess of Wales rushed to do the exact same thing, but just in front of the cameras. Here’s what you need to know.

According to the latest reports, the Duke of Sussex was spotted leaving St. George’s chapel at Windsor. He visited his late grandmother’s burial site on the day of the first anniversary of her death.

There were no cameras or journalists with him. Instead, a member of the public simply snapped a photo of Prince Harry walking out of the church.

It didn’t take very long for Prince William and Kate Middleton to react. There were initial reports indicating that the Prince and Princess of Wales were going to honor Queen Elizabeth in a private ceremony in the same way that other members of the royal family did.

However, the moment they found out that Prince Harry’s trip to Windsor made the news, it didn’t take them very long to make their way to a church in Wales to do the exact same thing.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were all smiles as they placed white roses in front of a photo of Queen Elizabeth. The cameras were there to capture the entire moment, of course.

Clearly, the Prince and Princess of Wales were caught off guard by Prince Harry’s behavior. They didn’t think that his quick trip to Windsor would generate all of the headlines that it did during the short time that he was there.

This just goes to show once more that William is definitely watching each and every one of Harry’s moves while trying to prove to the world that he can do better.
