Kate Middleton is the daughter that King Charles never had. At least, that’s what one royal expert believes.

Throughout all of these years, the King of England has never had an issue with Prince William’s wife.

In fact, she seems to be a pillar of strength for the royal family and someone who is admired and loved by almost everyone, both by the public and those who live behind closed palace doors. Here’s what you need to know.

In a new interview, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond even puts it this way, “There’s little doubt that Charles would have loved a daughter (he’s really quite a softie at heart) and it is said that he was disappointed when Harry turned out to be a boy.”

She added, “Certainly Diana, although delighted to have a healthy second son, would have loved a daughter. I spoke to her about it and asked whether she and Charles would try for a third child and she said the marriage was in too much trouble to try again. But she admitted that she would love a daughter… and perhaps if she hadn’t have died, that wish might have come true.”

Bond continued, “So, for King Charles it’s a delight that he gets on so well with Catherine. He made efforts with Meghan too… but that has obviously not worked out.”

It goes without saying that Kate Middleton is definitely in a good position seeing how her father-in-law, the King of England, absolutely adores her. Too bad the same can’t be said about Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle.

The Duchess of Sussex’s jealousy towards her sister-in-law might be one of the many reasons why she decided to leave her royal life behind.

Either way, the Princess of Wales is definitely in a better position and as the future Queen of England, she could use all of the love and support that she can get from her royal family members.
