A royal expert thinks that the crowning of Prince Charles as King could create an “evolution” of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s role in the Royal Family.

Buckingham Palace last week declared that for the commercially brazen pair it was, “not possible for the couple to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service.”

But royal commentator Rachel Bowie sees this new role as non-working members of the Firm not lasting forever.

Speaking on her podcast Royally Obsessed, she suggested that it might change once the Queen passes the crown and the throne to Charles.

“I obviously love the royals I just wish there was a way to have continued Harry and Meghan’s role formally, somehow, and kept them in so that they were happy,” she said. “I think we’ll get back to that and this is an evolution.”

“Obviously, when Charles is on the throne and William, eventually, I think that this is all going to evolve, this role and relationship.”
