90 Day Fiance influencer, John Yate covered the story that Paul Staehle had gone missing after Karine Martins seemed to hint that he had died.

Anyway, he wasn’t dead and he was revealed to be alive, but apparently stranded on an island in the Amazon. Now that he’s been rescued, he seems to look in good physical shape

Karine Martins shared about life insurance, claimed that Paul was missing, and posted up photos of the kids. In that post, she talked as if he was gone and it was all in the past tense.

John Yates went to work calling everyone he knew who could establish what was going on. For days, a stream of information came in that seemed to indicate that Paul might not have died.

90 Day Fiance fans later heard that Paul contacted his mom and revealed he was on an island.

Allegedly, he’d been sleeping outdoors, and bugs had really gone to town on him. He talked about a “wrong canoe” and ending up staying with rather unfriendly people.

The island is really not commonly visited by outsiders. Other reports suggested that the police and the American Embassy were getting involved in trying to rescue him.

When Paul’s friend Iza shared a photo of Paul on social media, John Yates reposted it. The original caption said, “revolvendo problema de um adulto.” Roughly, Google translated it to mean, “resolving an adult’s problem.”When John shared it, he wrote, “Looks like Paul is safe and sound with his friend Iza.”

90 Day Fiance fans remain very skeptical about the whole drama with Paul and Karine and his friends.

Many of them do hope that Paul gets some help, believing he has mental health issues. However, others are firmly of the opinion that the entire thing was a hoax.

Mind you, his mom, Edna told John on YouTube that she doesn’t “understand” what he did, but she believes it was not a hoax that he and Karine carried out.

Some 90 Day Fiance fans just feel relieved that Paul seems to look like physically, he is in good health. However, most of them are angry because of the worry he caused Edna.

Meanwhile, most of them are convinced that it was just an alarming level of attention-seeking.

One of them said, “He caused this mess. Karine exaggerated but he put the idea in her head. He strung along his mother and @johnyates327tv all while accepting friend requests on Instagram. He’s the root of the problem.”

Another follower opined, “I’m so over him & his kindergarten antics. He needs a psychiatric hold & some meds.”

Here’s another take on the missing person incident: “Well, he definitely doesn’t look like someone who was stranded in a deserted island, regardless of the amount of time. He allegedly told his mom he was in “rough shape” and “was attacked by bugs”. I am familiar with the Amazon and trust me when I tell you that he would NOT look like this if he had been sleeping in the wild for a few days. .”
