Well, she explained that because of concerns about her parents suffering from heart disease, she’d been accepted for a medical research study.

When the 90 Day Fiance star updated her fans, they saw that the facility seemed comfortable enough. Medical experts monitored her and then they took a lot of blood. They also gave her some medication and as more updates rolled in, she looked a bit unhappy. In her stories, she said that she felt ill. Well, now she left the study, she told them how much she was paid for it, and clearly, she thinks it was worth doing.

90 Day Fiancé Spoilers – Star Ens The Study Early – Reveals Pay

On June 8, Vary Malina told he followers that she flunked out of the research program.  Apparently, she reacted very badly to the medication they gave her. She explained that the purpose of the study was to find out how “different antidepressants… affected…blood pressure and…heart rate.” As they increased the dose, she had some bad reactions, so they let her go.

The 90 Day Fiance fiance revealed that she earned $3,500 for participating. And, although the study runs until July, she didn’t lose any of her income. So, she feels super-happy about that. Actually, the side effects included things like “vertigo, muscle weakness, dizziness,” and “hand shaking.” Interestingly, they also pinpointed “illiteracy” as a side effect, which seemed a bit odd as she’s not a native English speaker.

Some 90 Day Fiance fans criticized Varya for risking her life by joining a study just for money. However, others argued that as she had potential heart issues, that probably also motivated her. Furthermore, others noted that it’s just as well that people volunteer or there wouldn’t be medications available at the pharmacy.

One fan commented, “All medications go through trials. I don’t know why everyone is acting like this taboo. Nothing would be [off the] shelf or behind the counter, if people didn’t put themselves out there to try them out.”
