Lucifer Star Tom Ellis Signs Deal To Return For Season 6

Lucifer Star Tom Ellis Signs Deal To Return For Season 6Lucifer star Tom Ellis has scored a new deal with Netflix. He will return for Season 6 of the series. This news comes less than a week after the showrunners of the Netflix series renewed their contracts. Tom Ellis, the star of Netflix’s Lucifer, signed for a possible Season 6 on the popular devil series. The show has kept its fans guessing with the news of the cancellations and renewals for most of its run.

The series first got its start on Fox in 2016, where it aired for three seasons. Netflix picked up the series after it was canceled by the network. So far, it has one 10-episode season on the streaming platform. The streaming company originally announced that the fifth season would be its last, but fans didn’t want the show to end just yet. This increased the rumors that Netflix would consider extending Lucifer beyond Season 5.

The fifth and final season was expected to be 10 episodes, similar to Season 4. Netflix ordered six more episodes over the summer, increasing the count to 16 episodes. Fans don’t know what to expect from Season 5 since it hasn’t dropped yet. Now TVLine has reported the news of Ellis’ deal with Netflix. It got in the way of Netflix bringing Lucifer back for another season.

Other actors have also signed on for Season 6. The same is true of its showrunners, who renewed their deals last week. This means the entire cast and crew will be back for Lucifer’s supposed sixth season if Netflix renews the deal. Even if the deal goes through, fans won’t see Season 6 until next year. Season 5 doesn’t have a premiere date yet.

Just because Ellis signed a new deal for Lucifer Season 6 doesn’t mean Netflix will order the new season. If the new season is ordered, it’ll be interesting to see how Season 5 will play out. The season should tie up some loose ends. Lucifer Season 6 will feel more like a bonus season rather than a conclusion to the show’s story. Fans should be happy to see more of Lucifer, even if Season 6 doesn’t happen.

YAY! I can’t wait to see what Joe and idly have in store for us! Maybe in season 6 Chloe and Lucifer get pregnant. That would be amazing! Plus it would be a great message following along the current story lines about the devil not being evil. The show could then talk about the devil’s kid not being evil either. Plus Charlie would get a fellow half angel cousin! And you just know another crazy priest would target Chloe while she’s pregnant. I think I just accidently wrote season 6
