Does Cheech Marin plan to return for the Nash Bridges revival? Fans have been patiently waiting for the show’s return ever since it was teased over the summer. It has already been confirmed that Don Johnson will return to his role on the USA Network revival. During Johnson’s appearance on The Talk, he was asked whether Marin would reprise his role as Inspector Joe Dominguez.
Don Johnson confirmed that “The Cheech” will make a comeback, according to TV Series Finale. He said that Marin’s character will be probably dealing marijuana in the reboot. He also said that the cops may be smoking it, but he could’ve been kidding. Nash Bridges is currently in development with USA network and is being considered as a two-hour pilot episode.
During the interview, Johnson said that the episode is being written as we speak. It was previously a two-hour movie, and now the writers are looking for a way to turn into a series. Johnson admitted he doesn’t know how he feels about a Nash Bridges television series in this day and age. Johnson has revealed even more details about the reboot.
Variety was one of the first media outlets to report the details about the reboot back in July. Johnson quickly signed onto the series. However, Carlton Cruse, the original creator of the series, is not going to make his return since he’s currently in a deal with ABC Studios about another show. So far, Johnson is the only former cast member who’s been officially confirmed to join this new series.
