About the Original Revenge TV Show

The original series was inspired by the novel The Count of Monte Cristo, written by Alexandre Dumas.

The 2011 television show centered on Emily Thorne, one of the many names the character went by. She also had the names Emily Clarke, Emily Grayson and Amanda Porter, all of whom were portrayed by Emily VanCamp. The story was about the young woman coming to the Hamptons. A wealthy family framed her for a crime and she came to dole out revenge.

Revenge Reboot News: All the Details

In the new version of Revenge, it will center on a young Latinx immigrant. She travels to Malibu to get vengeance on a pharmaceutical dynasty. It is due to their insatiable greed that led to her biochemist mother’s murder. It also destroyed her family and caused a worldwide epidemic.

The Revenge reboot is in the early stages of development. It is not known if any characters from the original will appear in the new series. It is being referred to as a follow-up, rather than a reimagination or recreation.
