ATWT News – Friday Night Altercation

The ATWT alum tried to help out a friend on Friday night in New York City. According to USA Today, police were called when a 36-year-old female and 32-year-old male tried to break up a fight outside The Black Ant restaurant, located in Manhattan. Things went from bad to worse when a man used an “unidentified sharp object” during the dispute.

ATWT News – Spencer Grammer’s Injuries

The As the World Turns alum told the publication that she ended up with a laceration on her arm. Her friend was stabbed in the back but suffered no serious internal injuries. Law enforcement confirmed to the newspaper that the two victims were taken to local hospitals to be treated, but their injuries were not life-threatening.

ATWT News – Alum Issues Statement

In a statement, Grammar explained that she and her friend did what anyone else would do in the same situation. She explained,

“My friend and I did what anyone else would do in the same situation. Several others, predominantly women, were also attempting to prevent the altercation from escalating.”

She took the time to express her gratitude to the first responders and Bellevue Hospital staff. She also was pleased to have the opportunity to thank the staff for being on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
