Boone has been with the show for eight seasons and she’s “grateful” for everything. On Wednesday, the actress shared an Instagram post where she thanked all her fans and coworkers. She described her experience as “an entire life” inside her own life.”

In her post, where she shared a photo of her and James Spader, the actress described how her eight years on the show playing the role of Liz has helped her define herself and the world.

“Liz sought incorruptible familial bonds, and collided with powerful forces to reveal the boundaries where a cruel, indifferent world ended and she began.” Boone said.

Now that her story has come to an end, she took the opportunity to express her gratitude towards all of those she shared this time with. She thanked her fellow cast, the crew, and the viewers, too. Boone has appeared in more than 150 episodes and got to work with the incredible crew and various guest stars. Although she can’t mention all of them in her post, the actress said that she remembers them all.

Boone made her last appearance on the show, which she’s been part of since its 2013 debut, in the June 23 season 8 finale. Her exit was reportedly plotted ahead of the show’s season 9 pickup in January. It has given the writers enough time to come up with a final arc for Boone’s character.

Some fans said they can’t imagine the show without her while others expressed that they will surely miss her. There were a few who expected her departure especially when Liz was a no-show for several episodes. Boone didn’t appear in nine straight episodes of The Blacklist since its January 29 episode. The actress returned during the April 23 installment. Her exit wasn’t spontaneous. The actress and the show’s bosses and writers had their discussions long before the show was renewed for season 9.
