Y&R spoilers hint that pretty much everyone in the Newman family will disapprove of Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) affair with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). While it seems both Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will have (and have had) stern words with both parties involved, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will take a softer approach to things, as she always does.

Victoria is an adult woman that can make her own decisions, and who also doesn’t need to be scolded by anyone about her love life. Especially when all the members of her family have no room to judge. Still, Vicky frolicking with a taken man in her office, during work hours, doesn’t look good on the company. The fact that both the Moustache and Nick have a feeling that Nate’s intentions are not good also plays a role in their reactions.

At the end of the day, mother-daughter relationships are complicated, especially during the teen years and after the fact. However, Vicky and Nikki have always had a great relationship, and in many ways, are the best of friends.

Unlike Nick and Victor, Vicky is not only able to talk to her mom, give her point of view, but also share with her. When she’s dealing with an issue, she can have a discussion with Nikki, even if they don’t share the same point of view. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Vic, her brother, and their dad; whom she tends to clash with when their opinions differ.
