Treacherous Chelsey isn’t in town to see how Carla is doing or pay her a welfare check. Nope, she in Weatherfield to blackmail the poor woman.

Chelsey wants a big sum of money to keep her mouth shut about what went on while Carla was away from her family and friends. If she doesn’t pay up, Chelsey will see to it that Carla’s past comes to light in an ugly way.

Chelsey will later pop again with Jordan (James Boyland) who has no it out for Carla since he blames her for some drugs that were destroyed. He wants her to reimburse him but Peter gets suspicious of the three talking and wants to know what’s going on.

Carla immediately goes into salvage mode and does not let on to what she’s been up to. She covers saying the pair want to rent a room.

Later she knows that Peter is suspicious and admits she is being blackmailed by Chelsey and Jordan.

Coronation Street spoilers – Will Peter pay a price for Carla’s misdeeds?

Not content to leave well enough alone, Jordan and Chelsey appear a third time but they happen upon Carla when she is feeling stubborn and sticks up for herself. The couple are escorted away and she crosses her fingers that the trouble is over.

Later Carla and Peter hear news about a man and woman severely beaten on an estate nearby. Carla becomes suspicious when Peter insists they turn off the radio.

Is Peter apprehensive because he was the man who beat Jordan and Chelsey? And if this is the case, will the police track him down and possibly arrest him?
