Coronation Street spoilers and updates reveal Charlie de Melo has spoken to the media following Kelly’s serious involvement in a gang attack against lovey-dovey couple Nina and Seb’s.

Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher) and Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) were hospitalized after the brutal gang attack. Spoilers show Nina will be questioned by the police after gaining consciousness, but the terrified victim will have a blurry memory of the violence.

Troublemakers included Corey Brent (Maximus Evans) and Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson), who were furious because of Nina’s gothic fashion sense. Things get brutal when Kelly was spurred to slap Nina after being urged by her to go home because she was drunk.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Home Sweet Home

Keely was saved from trouble by Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) and Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) offering her a secure home after the death of her father, Rick Neelan, and the disappearance of her mother, Laura.

However, not only the genuine love of the foster parents towards Kelly but also their relationship as a couple will be brought to a refiner’s fire following Kelly’s shock arrest.

Actor de Melo has opened up saying Imran and Toyah will initially do everything they can to support Kelly. “But as details of the attack become more apparent, as more and more evidence gets dug up, and more and more testimony is heard, the seriousness of it starts to cause a kind of fracture between Imran and Toyah,” the star told Digital Spy.

The couple stands on different grounds as the rigid Imran holds to their promise to Kelly “that they would be there, they would care, they would support, regardless” but the reticent Toyah sticks to self-protecting in knowing they didn’t sign up for more than what they can chew.

“To be supportive of a child is one thing, but to be supportive of a violent person goes beyond the call of duty that we’ve signed up to,” Charlie differentiated.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Returning To Shake Things Up

Given different hats to wear, Charlie confessed it was a little challenging to him and actress Georgia. He also teased a huge scene of Kelly’s biological mother, Laura (Kel Allen), putting a “pipe bomb” shaking things up as she returns.

Upcoming episodes will show Imran accompanying Kelly to the police station. “There were certain scenes and certain days where I felt like a dad giving advice, and other days it felt like a lawyer kind of berating a client,” the actor shared.

But Laura barges in, puts the matter in her hands, and “undoes a lot of the good work that [Imran and Toyah have] been able to do up until that point”.

Charlie believes “the groundwork that Corrie has laid for it is really interesting.”

“But the twists and turns can take us any which way with it, so whether I’m involved and in what capacity, I don’t really know at this stage. But I certainly hope so,” Charlie said, pointing to Corrie’s amazing job of laying a groundwork that is really interesting.
