Ride on Hallmark Channel
According to the official synopsis, episode 1, titled Legend of the Fall, features a tragedy in the ranching family. Isabel McMurray (Nancy Travis) is the matriarch of a small-town ranching family, dating back a generation.
After she lost her husband some years ago, Isabel has struggled to keep the family ranch going, while singlehandedly raising their three sons: rodeo champion Austin (Marcus Rosner), Cash (Beau Mirchoff) and the ever-dependable Tuff (Jake Foy).
Meanwhile, the family has grown over the years to include Austin’s talented wife, Missy (Tiera Skovbye) and Valeria (Sara Garcia), a one-time runaway the family had taken in. Just as Cash returns home, tragedy strikes on the ranch, leaving Missy a widow. Moreover, it leads to the family grieving and led to Valeria leaving town without saying a word.
One year later, as the McMurrays continue to grieve, the fate of their ranch is uncertain. Cash, who has spent a lifetime in his brother’s shadow, considers stepping into his shoes to save the ranch. However, that decision is complicated by Cash’s long-simmering feelings for Missy.
Meanwhile, as Missy struggles with her place in the family without Austin, she considers new opportunities. Moreover, Isabel, who has faced more than her fair share of loss, struggles with putting Cash at risk, even if it means losing her life’s work.
However, Valeria suddenly reappears at the ranch, with more secrets than answers and a wealthy outsider (Tyler Jacob Moore), makes an offer on the ranch.
