The pop star surprised fans with a shocking career move. On Thursday, February 8, she took to her Instagram account to announce that she had landed a role in the new British cartoon series, Peppa Pig Wedding Special.

She filmed herself reading lines in the studio as the character Mrs. Leopard. Katy smiled at the camera and said, “Hi everyone, I’m Mrs. Leopard. I can’t wait for you to join the celebrations with us!”

The camera panned back to the studio where Katy Perry exclaimed, “Where’s the tea? Now what happened to that tea?” She asked someone in the studio to hand her a stuffed Peppa Pig toy. She danced around with it in front of the camera. Katy snorted before she said, “Ah ha! Job done.”

Katy captioned her Instagram post: “When my fans AND Daisy tell me to do something, it’s done. SURPRISE!!! I got to voice the new Mrs. Leopard in the Peppa Pig Wedding Special! See it in select cinemas starting tomorrow! Drop an oink oink if you’re DELIGHTED.”
