There’s no worse feeling in the world than being ignored by your grandchildren. Yet, that’s how Queen Elizabeth must have felt when she was supposedly snubbed by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Princess Lilibet’s birthday, no less.

There’s a new report that says the Queen had cake for Lilibet’s first birthday back in 2022 but unfortunately, she was stood up by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Here’s what you need to know.

According to Page Six, one ex-staffer says Queen Elizabeth was eager to celebrate Lilibet’s first birthday with the Sussexes.

But unfortunately, no one showed up to the party. At least, that’s what one ex-staffer who worked behind the scenes says.

Apparently, everyone was appalled by Harry and Meghan’s treatment of the queen. They couldn’t believe that the Sussexes would do something so appalling like snub the queen.

One source close to the situation even put it this way, “Even on Lilibet’s 1st birthday, the Queen didn’t see her.

She saw her the day before. But on her birthday, the Queen had a birthday cake made with one candle in it. And they never turned up. That candle was never lit.”

Royal Family News: Harry And Meghan Claim The Report Is Not True

Yet, one source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex says that there is no truth to the claims. The insider said, “They did see the Queen to celebrate Lili’s birthday.”

Lilibet’s first birthday was in June of that year and Queen Elizabeth died a few months later in September.

Both Harry and Meghan happened to be in London during the time that it was announced that the queen had died.

The Sussexes were supposed to attend the WellChild Awards that year but Harry quickly flew to Balmoral to see Queen Elizabeth one last time.

His wife Meghan stayed behind. There were reports at the time suggesting King Charles and other members of the royal family did not want Meghan to join them at Balmoral at the time.
